On 24 and 25 April 2026, Tecnol Urban took part in AJDEPLA’s 19th Technical Police Congress, held in Almería. The event brought together more than one hundred local police commanders from across Andalusia’s eight provinces.

Under the slogan “All for the public”, the congress provided a space to share knowledge, update procedures and examine the current and future challenges facing municipal public safety. It also helped connect the needs of local police forces with companies developing solutions for urban environments.

A meeting point for Andalusia’s local police forces

The 19th Technical Police Congress was organised by AJDEPLA, the Association of Local Police Chiefs and Senior Officers of Andalusia, which brings together local police commanders and senior officers from across the region.

The event took place near Cabo de Gata. Attendees stayed at the Barceló Cabo de Gata Hotel, while the main activities were held at the Cabo de Gata-City of Almería Exhibition and Conference Centre. The congress focused on sharing professional experience, training and strategic discussion about the future of local policing.

Alongside the presentations, the programme included several opportunities to visit the participating companies’ stands. This gave police and municipal professionals the chance to discover new tools and solutions related to urban management and public safety.

The programme also included presentations on the regulatory development of Andalusia’s Local Police Act 6/2023 of 7 July and on access to the SIRAJ 2 system for local police forces.

The congress was therefore not limited to showcasing products and technologies. It also created a forum for discussing the professional development, coordination and modernisation of local police forces.
