Last Friday, November 10, TECNOL Global Solutions celebrated the 25th anniversary of Masergrup, our business group, which was born in 1997 with the constitution of TQ TECNOL S.A.U. The commemorative event also served to officially inaugurate the group’s new corporate headquarters, located in the Mas de les Ànimes industrial estate in Reus.

The event was attended by the Minister of Business and Labor of the Generalitat, Roger Torrent; the president of the Provincial Council of Tarragona, Noemí Llaurador; the mayor of Reus, Sandra Guaita. Highlighting the presence of the president of F.C. Barcelona, ​​Joan Laporta, thanks to the association of the group’s president, Mr. Xavier Martínez i Serra, with the Barça Foundation.

The event began with the inauguration of the headquarters with the traditional ribbon-cutting and then a tour of the facilities. A building that is firmly committed to digital transformation, sustainability, and the environment; intelligent and 100% sustainable and has the main certifications in terms of energy efficiency, such as the LEED Gold construction certification. It also has the RESET Indoor Air Quality Certificate and an A+ Energy Certification, thanks to the more than 700 photovoltaic panels installed that supply the building with renewable energy to achieve self-consumption without generating greenhouse gases.

After uncovering the commemorative plaque at the main entrance of the headquarters, we proceeded to visit the facilities that have more than 14,000 m².

25th anniversary

During the subsequent gala, the past, present, and future of the company were reviewed in front of more than 300 guests, mainly authorities, representatives of the business, municipal and regional, colleagues, and friends.

The authorities present at the anniversary gala congratulated the group on its business trajectory and explained that from their institutions, they are working for a recovery of the area’s industry, betting on economic and social sustainability, just as TECNOL and the rest of the Masergrup companies do. In the speeches at the anniversary gala, the pillar of territory also stood out as one of the fundamental pillars of the group and of TECNOL. We have always kept in mind to work from what our country is, Reus, and make the local economy grow from within. As Mr. Martínez i Serra stated, “We want to continue our history as a group from here.”

The founder of Masergrup, Xavier Martínez i Serra, pointed out the anniversary as a turning point for the global internationalization of the group’s companies. An aspect included in Masergrup’s Strategic Plan for the coming years, as well as innovation and commitment to talent. For this reason, at TECNOL and the rest of the group, we have always been attentive to the needs of our workers, resolved with the benefits of the new building, thus guaranteeing greater comfort for workers. The new headquarters, with an open space distribution, encourages collaboration between workers while enhancing creativity with a facility equipped with work rooms, multipurpose spaces, meeting rooms, exhibition rooms for clients, two dining rooms with a fully equipped kitchen, a rest area, and recreational spaces suitable for practicing sports.

In addition, it has an outdoor parking area and an underground parking area with high-power charging systems and 40 spaces for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

TECNOL, the first Masergrup company

TQ TECNOL S.A.U. was born in 1997, with only 5 workers. Thanks to the efforts of these and all those who have come after and been part of this project, the company is now celebrating its 25th anniversary. Throughout our history, we have evolved our products, always seeking the best solutions for customers. We have diversified to solve new needs that have arisen in the market, thus creating the four divisions that currently make up TECNOL.
