At TECNOL we have joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance (ECH2A), a European Industrial Strategy that pursues the production of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen.
What is the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance?
The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance aims for the production of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen by 2030, the demand for hydrogen in industry, in mobility and its sectors, and in the transmission and distribution of hydrogen. With these actions, the alliance joins the EU’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions by 2050.
To achieve this objective, hydrogen will be the greatest support for achieving an energy system based on renewable energies that decarbonize the high-emission industry and transportation sectors. Therefore, a complete transformation of energy production, storage, and consumption, greater energy efficiency, and the deep decarbonization of transport, buildings, and industry will be needed.
How is this objective intended to be achieved?
The European Hydrogen Strategy establishes that at least 6 GW of renewable hydrogen electrolysers will be installed by 2024 and 40 GW by 2030. This will mean creating a competitive and sustainable industrial hydrogen ecosystem in the EU that will promote new jobs.
How TECNOL contributes to the alliance
At TECNOL we join this alliance with the aim of maximally promoting this global sustainable movement that will mean an improvement for the planet, people, and living beings in general. In this sense, we want to contribute our grain of sand by promoting green cities that are committed to hydrogen and the decarbonization of the sectors.
