At TQ Tecnol, we see corporate commitment as a way of actively contributing to people’s wellbeing and to the development of the communities around us. For this reason, on 20 September we took part as a supporting company in the third edition of the Alzheimer’s walk in Reus, “Caminem per l’Alzheimer, caminem junts”.
Held in Reus, the event was promoted by the Associació d’Alzheimer i altres trastorns neurocognitius de Reus i Baix Camp, an organisation linked to Institut Lerín Neurocognitive. Its aim is to raise public awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurocognitive disorders, while supporting those affected and their families.
A charity walk to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s
The third edition of “Caminem per l’Alzheimer, caminem junts” once again brought the local community together around a shared cause: increasing the visibility of neurocognitive disorders and highlighting the importance of care, support and community involvement.
The Alzheimer’s walk in Reus offered two routes, covering 4 and 10 kilometres, both starting and finishing at Institut Lerín Neurocognitive. This made the event accessible to people of different ages and abilities, bringing together physical activity, solidarity and awareness-raising.
One of the most meaningful moments of the day came at the start of the walk, when people supported by the centre completed the opening section of the route alongside their families and professionals. It was a symbolic way of placing those who live with Alzheimer’s and other neurocognitive disorders at the heart of the event. The walk was organised by the Associació d’Alzheimer i altres trastorns neurocognitius de Reus i Baix Camp, a non-profit organisation providing therapeutic, care and social support services.
Tecnol as a supporting company
In this edition, Tecnol took part as a supporting company, contributing to an initiative closely connected to values such as health, wellbeing, solidarity and commitment to the local community. The initiative also involved other MaserGrup companies. Miró Vermouth took part as a sponsor, while Tecnol and Global Fruselva participated as supporting companies.
For Tecnol, supporting projects of this kind means standing alongside organisations that work every day to improve people’s quality of life and helping to give greater visibility to conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. This approach forms part of our commitment to responsible business. Committed to people and to Reus
In just three editions, the Alzheimer’s walk in Reus has developed into an initiative with a growing ability to bring people together across the Camp de Tarragona area. Ahead of the 2026 event, the organisers had set themselves the goal of exceeding 800 registrations, following approximately 700 participants in the previous edition.
At Tecnol, we would like to thank the organisers, all participating organisations and everyone who helped make this solidarity event possible. We will continue to support initiatives that promote health, solidarity and social wellbeing, while strengthening our ties with Reus and with the people who form part of our local community.
