The project “Tecnol: Driving Sustainable Cities” has been awarded the 2025 City of Reus Environmental Award in the business category, a recognition that validates the urban development model promoted by Tecnol, based on sustainability, innovation and people’s well-being.
The award-winning proposal introduces a new way of understanding public space through a range of sustainable urban furniture, designed using recycled materials and naturally integrated into the urban environment. This approach is complemented by high-efficiency lighting systems, aimed at reducing energy consumption and the environmental impact of cities.
Beyond the product itself, Tecnol focuses on the creation of more comfortable, healthy and functional urban spaces, encouraging coexistence, accessibility and a better experience for citizens. The project was selected as the winner among five business proposals, standing out for its comprehensive approach and the added value it brings to municipalities.
The City of Reus Environmental Awards, promoted by the Department of Environment, Sustainability and Public Space, have recognised initiatives that contribute to more sustainable and resilient city models since 2021.
This award reinforces Tecnol’s commitment to developing responsible urban solutions, aligned with current environmental challenges and the real needs of urban environments.
