Committed to the United Nations Global Compact #TenemosUnPacto

Nov 5, 2021 | CSR, Sustainability

At Tecnol we are committed to the United Nations Global Compact, the leading initiative in business sustainability. It is about promoting innovation and improving the actions carried out in companies to achieve a better future and a better planet. In this way, we reaffirm our commitment to the Ten Principles of the Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.

Therefore, we have already implemented practices to achieve a more sustainable, prosperous, and resilient planet. We work every day to make all the SDGs a reality.

SDG 3: Health and well-being

We have an active involvement and commitment to collective health and well-being. An example is the donations to institutions, entities, and organizations, such as the solidarity donation of 50,000 masks to the Red Cross.

SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy

We work to obtain affordable and non-polluting energy, which is why we are part of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, which aims to produce renewable, low-carbon hydrogen by 2030. In addition, we are committed to the implementation of renewable energies such as solar panels and hybrid and electric company cars.

SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth

In recent years, we have experienced high growth in the company, thanks to the expansion of facilities, production, and logistics warehouses and the generation of new jobs. We are also committed to equality and adaptation in the company.

SDG 9: Industry, innovation, and infrastructure

Thanks to the growth of the company, the construction of the new Tecnol warehouse with LEED Gold sustainability certification has begun.

SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities

At Tecnol we promote the sustainable city movement by offering a wide range of sustainable products, such as urban solar equipment, LED lighting, CO2 meters, and sustainable, maintenance-free urban furniture.

SDG 12: Responsible production and consumption

To promote innovation and sustainable consumption in all Tecnol fields, we work with BIO products, such as electric pallet trucks.

SDG 13: Climate Action

To respect and improve the climate, we care about the quality of the product by eliminating components that are harmful to the ecosystem. We also create actions to reduce plastic, such as having water sources, and we promote waste recycling.

SDG 15: Life on terrestrial ecosystems

We have reduced the use of paper by using online tools in order to respect the lives of ecosystems.

At Tecnol we are committed to improving the environment, and we work tirelessly to achieve it. Because #WeHaveAPact on the world we desire. Can you come with us?
